“The trend towards adventure films was renewed here,” said Canadian author Daniel Side.
The claim, reported by the Binbrook Post, came out yesterday after the author of Expedition Borneo noticed yet another film in the adventure genre, The Lost City, was set to debut on Thursday.
Danielle Edis, a reporter with the Binbrook Post, noticed a comment by Side on social media late last week. When contacted by her, Side, who has penned several novels, said in a brief conversation: “I started writing Expedition Borneo several years ago, and before you could say, “Bob’s your uncle” everyone is making adventure pictures set in the jungle: Jungle Cruise, Red Notice ends up in a jungle and now The Lost City.”
When asked what the issue was, Side replied: “No issue, I’m elated! Maybe that will encourage readers to investigate Expedition Borneo. Hey, maybe if the trend stays hot I’ll start getting calls for the movie rights to EB!”
