Daniel Side

About Daniel Side

Daniel Side’s first book was co-authored with his cousin at eighteen, written on typewriters using carbon paper. It was a sure-fire scheme, one of many, to make a lot of money. Surprisingly, the offers didn’t roll in.
During his teaching career, he married and helped raise three children, wrote and produced school plays, built a log home, restored a classic Mustang, and ventured north on canoe trips to Algonquin Park with his family.

A science fantasy fan for many years, unable to find a current novel that he liked, with encouragement from his wife, he wrote a family based science fantasy, The Reedsmith of Zendar. He has since written novels of various genres ranging from adventure to romantic suspense to thrillers. Expedition Borneo is his sixth.

As noted, his books are varied, but whether suspense, a thriller, or an adventure story, all contain characters in trouble you will care about and root for. He’s never perfect and neither is she, but the attraction is inevitable as they learn about each other on an adventure seldom of their choosing.
Side has often said that he writes the stories he would like to read. He’s willing to bet that you’ll enjoy them too.
Daniel Side lives in Binbrook, Ontario.
